Working at FreshAddress: Meet Brendan Gardiner, Account Manager

Brendan is a graduate of Bridgewater State University and comes to FreshAddress with multiple years worth of sales and customer service experience.  Described as “energetic and very hard working,” we are delighted to have Brendan on our team!

Q: What’s your professional background?

I have a background in Solar Marketing.  My job was primarily talking with homeowners on how to help people live more efficiently by going solar.  I felt that working under an acclaimed management team here at FreshAddress would help me hone in on my skills and help me along my journey into the sales universe.

Q: What’s your favorite part about your role at FreshAddress?

Making sales! Joking – I’m excited to help FreshAddress develop and maintain our business relationships, as well as create new opportunities for the company.  I was surprised by how down to earth and friendly everyone in the office has been; meeting people here has been enjoyable.  Tacos and Jeopardy have also been a big plus.

Q: What are some things you enjoy when you’re not thinking about work?

Making sales!  (Seriously).  Outside of that I am an avid musician, I play drums for a jazz trio and am constantly trying to expand my musical repertoire.  When I’m not playing music and we’re not waist deep in snow, I enjoy spending time outdoors (cycling, hiking, soccer).  My favorite show is Game of Thrones and my favorite sports team is the New England Patriots.

Q: Favorite quote?

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” -Ben Franklin

Working at FreshAddress: Meet Cynthia Casey, Controller

Cynthia first started at FreshAddress as an Accountant and now we’re excited to have her onsite as our Controller.  She comes to us with a robust background in finance and accounting.   We are thrilled to have her more involved in all things financial at FreshAddress!

Q: What’s your professional background?

I started a small tax and accounting firm in 1998.  Prior to that I held several positions in banking and accounting in Boston.  I’m a CPA.  In college, I had a business that delivered birthday cakes – that was before there was internet and cell phones so parents sending cakes was actually a viable business!

Q: What’s your favorite part about your role at FreshAddress?

I love the challenge of the work and the tremendous energy and drive of the company!

Q: What are some things you enjoy when you’re not thinking about work?

My son’s youth hockey, the beach, and golf (a work in progress!).

Q: Favorite quote?

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” -Wayne Gretzky

Working at FreshAddress: Meet Cheryl LaGreca, Accounts Payable Specialist

Cheryl brings a strong background in finance and accounting to FreshAddress.  In addition to twenty years of experience in these fields, she also has an abundance of skill in HR and Business Operations.  We are very excited to have Cheryl working with us!

Q: What’s your professional background?

I offer 20 yrs of accounting and business operations experience.  I have worked at several start-ups in the greater Boston area through the years.  I have a strong background in accounting systems & CRM’s and have received certifications from QuickBooks, ADP and Salesforce.com.  I hold an Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Business.

Q: What’s your favorite part about your role at FreshAddress?

In my role I am enjoying getting better acquainted with the email marketing world, how it works and its importance in commerce today.

Q: What are some things you enjoy when you’re not thinking about work?

I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering at my daughter’s school (whether it be for the PTO or our local Daisy troop,) bad TV and good food!
