Meet Katherine Boyarsky, Marketing Associate

Katherine Photo
Katherine has a background in PR, Marketing, and Journalism. She has worked for a PR firm, a major healthcare company, and in the broadcasting industry. She is as enthusiastic about RI beaches as she is about social media and email marketing (which is a lot). Katherine graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Communications and specializations in Journalism and Media Production. She hails from Rhode Island and lives in Boston, and is thrilled to be at FreshAddress.

Q: What’s your professional background?
A: I started out my career in journalism and news radio, but fell in love with marketing. I have worked on the data analysis side of marketing, the public relations side, and now I am able to combine both in one dynamic role!

Q: What email marketing tips do you have?
A: Since I started working at FreshAddress, I have learned that growing your list and maintaining clean and up-to-date records are key. If you learn one thing in the email marketing world, it’s the importance of your foundation, which is your data. If you have bad records, you won’t get anywhere with your email marketing initiatives!

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: I enjoy reading, traveling, and swimming. I love game shows and trivia and I’m a huge fan of film.

Q: Favorite quote?
A: “Optimist: someone who figures that taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster, it’s a cha-cha.” —Robert Brault
