FreshAddress had the chance to volunteer at Rosie’s Place in Boston last week as part of our 20th anniversary celebration. Thirteen of our team members worked alongside Rosie’s staff to prepare lunch for more than 150 people.
Simply put, they put us to work! We chopped vegetables, served meals, cleared tables, washed dishes and much more. It was extraordinarily rewarding and also a little tiring. Hey! We do usually sit at our desks all day. We’re eager to return to Rosie’s and appreciate the opportunity to lend a hand!
Here’s what some of our team members had to say:
“Humbling experience helping serve less fortunate people who can’t afford a hot meal. Every employee at Rosie’s Place is a true hero of their community. I’ll always remember FreshAddress volunteer day at Rosie’s.” Steven Shur, Account Manager
“What a great experience! Rosie’s Place is a phenomenal asset to the community and I’m proud that we were able to help their cause.” Keith Reinhardt, Marketing Manager.
“I really enjoyed volunteering at Rosie’s. It’s great to give back to the community and I’d love to do it again!” Jennifer Soares, Office Coordinator
